According to the people who know delhi just by its name have a totally mistaken and wrong
identity of the city. the city’s air has some sort of nasha in it . but frankly
speaking guys that nasha ,na to kisi club ki daaru ka hai ,na hookah ka, or na
hi kisi so called narcotic drug ka .This nasha is the spirit of the city. The
nasha of hard working shopkeepers sweating from head to toe , selling products any
time we need it.The nasha of ‘stress and still enjoying’ 9-5 office goers ,
whose working hours keep on increasing with the consent of their sarcastically
god bosses .The nasha of innocence of the
school students , eating ice-cream ,chuski and chole kulche etc. outside their
schools , after the school and waiting for their van wale bhaiya to come in the
magnanimous traffic .Small-small kids having their birthday party with their
school friends and a few close relatives in mcdonalds.
People go to big restaurants but they prefer and love street
food more .The nasha of eating street food any time and any where they want .Nasha
of never undermining their dressing sense, even when going to the nearest sabzi
ka thela .The nasha of college students to enjoy their life to the fullest. That
feeling when you go to see Republic Day
parade , and the beautiful tableaus in the January rains and the ferocious fighter
planes flying over our houses .
That wonderful feeling we experience in a car, roaming on
the occasionally empty roads , provided the windows are open and is
complemented with your favorite sound tracks .Those lights on janmashtmi and diwali overlooking from the flyover .That infectious
aura of Cp and specially those wanger’s sweets and patty are amazing as hell .Community
jagratas , sai sandhya , diwali and holi celebrations are so captivating . The
identity of the city is too cliché.
What’s more amazing are the markets like Dilli haat with
Nagaland momos ,sarojini nagar with extremely affordable goods and kamla nagar
trending it all.
To sum it up it is the nasha of each and every person of the
city who works hard and enjoy their lives even more.
